Spezies der Moclan, kommt herein und bittet um Freistellung f\u00fcr drei Wochen, da er ein Ei gelegt hat und sich darum zusammen mit seinem Partner Klyden k\u00fcmmern will, das auszubr\u00fcten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Vorspann zum ersten Mal in der Serie, bestehend aus verschiedenen Au\u00dfenansichten der Orville und einer Einblendung der Namen von Charakteren und Schauspielern &#8211; ganz wie bei The Next Generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Titeleinblendung \u2018Sondervorstellung\u2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville, Br\u00fccke\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Crew bekommt ein Notrufsignal von der USS Bleriot, die von den Krill angegriffen wird. Auf dem Schiff sind \u00fcberraschend die Eltern von Captain Ed Mercer. Sie reden ein bisschen Unsinn und blamieren Mercer. Um das nicht \u00fcber COM weiterzuf\u00fchren, \u00fcberlassen \u2028Ed und Kelly Alara Kitan die Br\u00fccke und nehmen ein Shuttle zur USS Bleriot. Alara hat noch nie ein Schiff gef\u00fchrt und wirkt eingesch\u00fcchtert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Shuttle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Ed und Kelly reden \u00fcber ihre Vergangenheit und ihre gescheiterte Ehe und sind sich einig, dass das Trennen eine gute Idee war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Als sie das Shuttle verlassen haben und sich auf dem anderen Schiff glauben, werden sie weggebeamt. Die USS Bleriot l\u00f6st sich in Luft auf und besteht nur noch aus der Andockkammer. Der Rest war ein Hologramm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Alara und die restliche Crew sind \u00fcberrascht. Sie sucht Hilfe bei Bortus, der jedoch sein Ei ausbr\u00fctet und ihr sagt, dass sie auf sich allein gestellt ist. Alara \u00fcbergibt sich erstmal. Auf der Br\u00fccke stellt sie sich etwas holprig an. Gordon holt das Shuttle remote zur\u00fcck. Alara will den Notrufsender an Bord holen, dieser stellt sich jedoch als Bombe heraus, was einigen Schaden an der Orville anrichtet. Einige Crewmitglieder sind verletzt worden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Krankenstation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Alara bittet Dr. Claire Finn um Hilfe, die Orville nicht f\u00fchren zu m\u00fcssen. Claire gibt ihr stattdessen Weisheit und Einsicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* unbekannter Ort<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Ed und Kelly wachen in ihrem alten Wohnzimmer auf in New York City. Sie erkennen, dass irgendetwas nicht stimmen kann. Die T\u00fcr l\u00e4sst sich nicht \u00f6ffnen, also finden sie sich erstmal mit der Situation ab. Nach einem Zeitsprung ist Abend und sie haben sich bereits in Schlabberklamotten umgezogen. Essend und trinkend verstehen sie sich pl\u00f6tzlich wieder sehr gut. Sie schwelgen in Erinnerungen und fragen sich, ob sie doch noch zusammen passen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville, Br\u00fccke\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alara erf\u00e4hrt von Isaac, dass sie Langstreckensensoren brauchen und entscheidet wie ein Anf\u00fchrer, dass das die wichtigste Funktion gerade ist und leitet die Energie dorthin um. Sie findet heraus, wo Ed und Kelly hingebeamt wurden, n\u00e4mlich in das Gebiet der Calivon, einer hochentwickelten Spezies, mit denen niemand sich anlegen sollte.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville, Captains Ready Room<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Admiral Tucker, ein Vorgesetzter von Alara, den sie \u00fcber COM fragt, befiehlt ihr, die Calivon in Ruhe zu lassen und Ed und Kelly zur\u00fcckzulassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Calivon Zoo\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed wacht auf und stellt fest, dass das Appartement mit ihm und Kelly ein K\u00e4fig in einem Zoo ist. Ein Gefangener aus dem K\u00e4fig gegen\u00fcber verr\u00e4t, dass sie sehr glaubhafte Hologramme aus einfachen Daten schaffen k\u00f6nnen, so muss es mit Eds Eltern geschehen sein. Die Calivon sehen alle anderen Spezies als unbedeutender an und nehmen sie schlicht nicht wahr &#8211; so wie fr\u00fcher (also heute) Zoos mit Tieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville Br\u00fccke\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alara befiehlt, zur Erde zur\u00fcckzukehren. Gordon stellt sich ihr entgegen und wird daf\u00fcr suspendiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville B\u00fcro von Dr. Finn\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alara sucht Rat, weil sie nicht wei\u00df, ob sie falsch gehandelt hat. Claire erkl\u00e4rt, was es eigentlich bedeutet, ein Kommando zu haben: Befehle entgegennehmen und befolgen oder sich dagegen entscheiden, aber das Risiko verantworten zu m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville Kantine\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alara geht zu Gordon und John, um zu erkl\u00e4ren, dass sie keine Wahl hatte. Gordon kl\u00e4rt sie auch auf, dass Ed es anders gemacht h\u00e4tte und dass sie eine Wahl hat. Daraufhin steht sie auf und verk\u00fcndetepisch , dass sie doch nach Mercer und Grayson suchen. Applaus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville Br\u00fccke<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Isaac hat es geschafft, einen Teil der Calivon-Technologie zu nutzen, um die Orville zu tarnen. Zus\u00e4tzlich soll er bei den Gespr\u00e4chen dabei sein, da die Calivon die Kaylon wahr- und ernst nehmen. Als Calivon-Schiff getarnt fliegen sie zur Heimatwelt. Isaac entdeckt zwei menschliche Lebensformen. Alara \u00fcberl\u00e4sst Dr. Finn die Br\u00fccke und macht sich mit Isaac auf den Weg zum Shuttle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Calivon Zoo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Ed und Kelly streiten sich und benehmen sich wie ein altes Ehepaar. Sie erkennen, dass sie doch gen\u00fcgend gute Gr\u00fcnde hatten, sich zu trennen. Alara und Isaac kommen und verraten, dass sie Ed und Kelly retten wollen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* B\u00fcro des Zoovorstehers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Alara und Isaac verlangen die beiden Menschen zur\u00fcck. Der Versuch, den beiden eine Krankheit anzudichten f\u00fchrt beinahe zu ihrem Tod durch den Zoovorsteher. Alara bietet etwas im Austausch f\u00fcr Ed und Kelly, was der Zoow\u00e4rter annimmt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed \u00fcberreicht Alara eine Medaille f\u00fcr ihre Leistungen. Die Crew m\u00f6chte wissen, was der Tauschgegenstand war. Alara verr\u00e4t, dass es Fernsehfolgen von Reality-TV waren: The Bachelor, Duck Dynasty, Keeping up with the Cardassians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Orville Quartier von Bortus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2028Bortus sitzt auf dem Ei, als es bricht.
